Those itchy feet getting in the way again

Let’s be honest, everybody loves going somewhere different every now and then. However I think I might be the exception – because I like to go somewhere different all the damn time.

It’s not that I don’t love my flat. It’s the perfect location, with the best flat mate and it is now decorated just the way we both want it. So last weekend, I showed just how much I love travelling, being busy and seeing new (and old) people, starting with Edinburgh.

I arrived in my hometown and smiled as I arrived in Waverly to see my best bud running down the stairs to me – JELLY was reunited. And soon Kate was added to the mix and the three of us were strolling through the meadows with a roll of cardboard, a bike and 5 loaves of bread.

It was Kate’s 21st so we were all preparing for the Garden of Eden party that Kate had requested. With our bodies wrapped in ivy we started throwing back the malibu before I headed over to see my good friend from Perth for a sleepover.

Of course the next morning, I was up again and heading for a train up to Aberdeen. Chilling onto the train I chatted with another media student, sorted my make up and got writing about Uganda. I reminisced until my laptop died and then flew into my BFF’s arms.

The rest of the day was spent walking through old town Aberdeen, talking about a load of rubbish and best of all – being at the beach. I love the beach more than anywhere else in the world. The smell of the salty sea and the sexy, wind swept hair are two things I just can’t help but fall in love with.

So of course, I was one happy lady. Only to be made happier with the magnificent Mungo’s Hifi who blew me away – and yes the hangover was definitely worth it.
