I have decided to switch up the Miscellaneous Moments a wee bit. I will still be sharing it as a photo diary but at the end, I will also be sharing a few favourites. It will be a bit like re-vamping my Seven Sunday Smiles and this very post to make it a post I can look back on to remember things but also provide a bit of a service to you if you are looking for new bloggers, instagrammers, fashion finds, beauty bits or home decor. And of course, if I find any deals on flights or holidays I will obviously share those as well.
The year started with adventures on the tube, where we do that thing I talked about here when you jump on, pick a number and get off at that number of stops. It also featured the beginning of us making an effort with our flat and it’s interiors (posts to come I promise).
There was that trip to Amsterdam we booked after being back at work for a solid two hours, which will also see a post soon. It was honestly such a great trip and was exactly what I needed to help with the January blues.
And finally, there was a bit of work madness including getting the London office competitive with a Scotland vs England taste test and then meeting the King of Rwanda. Of course, there was also an obsessive amount of ramen involved in January because there really is nothing better than noodle soup with my love.
And now for some links, posts, and loves.
1. Fashion favs. There have been a few things this month but the common pieces I have rarely been seen without are my grey coat from Next and my ASOS dungarees. The dungarees aren’t anything new to my collection but I they are still the best for relaxing in or weekend trips.
2. Beauty bits. For Christmas I got my beloved Nars Sheer Glow foundation from my wonderful sister and wow am I glad to see it back in my life. I pretty much spent the months between June and December going from beauty counter to beauty counter trying different foundations but it is clear to see this will always be the one.
3. Bloggers and Instagrammers. I have to admit I am usually pretty bad for being up to date with my blog reading and instagramming, which is probably why mine never grows however not anymore. This month I have made the decision I want to get more freelance work (hit me up if you need a copywriter or video editor) so I have been hooked to Content By Charlotte. I really enjoyed this post from Chloe at and this what to pack for a weekend break post from Rebecca, someone who is a lot more stylish than me.
4. Home finds. So since moving to London our wee flat has been pretty redundant in decor. We just didn’t have the budget and to be honest, the minimalism wasn’t that bad for a while. However when Greg’s uncle was throwing out a rug we couldn’t say no and it was then we decided to invest in our beautiful Oliver Bonas mirror. I am going to get some home posts up eventually but for now, these are my current loves.
