In case you didn’t notice – I am not in converse. That’s right, I have big girl shoes on.
I know I joke, but seriously not wearing converse is hard. I don’t really like ballet pumps, I get too warm in boots and well, converse are just comfy. But on this particular morning I thought hey – I am going to go for something out of my comfort zone and wear heels.
Side note, I am still in my stripey tee and Jamie jeans, still proud though. I also thought I’d shed my usual coats and pair this look with a cardigan. Which is comfy, sure, but I just can’t help feel it doesn’t suit me. I have had it for years, it was something I bought after just moving to Glasgow because the flat I stayed in didn’t have any heating.
Anyway, the one thing that I did want to point out is how wee it makes my waist look. And how big it makes my boobs look. Anyway, I put the photo up on Instagram and had a couple of comments saying I had photoshopped it which is dumb. I mean, I don’t even know how to use photoshop and because of that very rarely edit my photos. I know I need to, but I just never do. If anybody has any photo editing software that is free then please let me know though. I have heard Gimp is good?
Back to the outfit. I bloody love it yet it is simple. These shoes are surprisingly comfortable, I even wore them for a wee wander around town on Sunday and I am really not massive on heels. But I suppose the winner of this post has to be the bag.
I actually won this on an instagram giveaway. It is a Boden bucket bag and I use it all the time. It is great if I am going away at the weekend or just need to remember a lot of things but realise I am predominantly dressed in black. It adds that bit of colour and also makes me feel a bit brighter and more fun.
And that is pretty much the outfit. How do you dress up a simple look?
PS I had converse in my bag just in case lol.
