As a classic last minuter, last week I decided to buy myself a Beyonce ticket. I knew she was coming to Glasgow when the tickets went on sale but didn’t bother getting a ticket. Then I listened to the albums on a loop at work and two of the other girls at my desk were going so when the tweet popped up on my timeline – well I had to go. It is Beyonce in Glasgow after all.
But then came the – holy mother Mary and Joseph what do I wear? I did a google and couldn’t decide and when I did see a few other looks I was like hmm but this is Beyonce in Glasgow – it’s most likely going to be cold. But then I remembered I was going to be dancing my ass off so I don’t care. So here are my outfit ideas in three very obvious looks.
First up – the Beyonce Flawless grunge look.
This look was inspired by Beyonce in Flawless. I really don’t suit a buttoned up shirt and I 100% don’t have a good enough body to wear all tight so I went for a baggy band tee that I cut myself. Before anyone makes a comment though – I do know who Lamb of God are, I’ve listened to there music and I do kinda like them…but I’d much rather see Beyonce in Glasgow…or anywhere actually. This tee was Greg’s but I think I shrunk it in the wash so now it’s mine. And I’ve diy-ed it so he really won’t want it.
Second look – hippy, fun and free.
This look isn’t inspired by anything Beyonce other than maybe Blue Ivy considering it’s a childish and fun look. These dungarees are far too big for my but I think that’s the style they are supposed to be so I went with it. I really love them though because if I am ever feeling a little bit down about my body or myself I can pop these on in their size small but they are still too big – normally I need a large to fit my boobies. Anyway, it is fun and easy to wear – especially if I am going to be dancing about all night.
And the final look – the on I’ll probably go for.
This look is such a comfy and easy outfit to wear and I actually throw this playsuit on whenever I want something effortless. I’m in a bit of a body crisis so this outfit is the easiest to wear. It’s loose and tight in the right places. It’s just really flowy and it makes me feel sort of comfortable about myself. The one thing I have done is tied a shirt round my waist (kind of like flawless again) to cinch it in and also – it is Beyonce in Glasgow….it’ll get cold. Oh and the boots are my Primark goodies from last year that I can’t get enough of.
So what are you wearing to Beyonce on Thursday? Also please come say hi or hang out with me because that last minute ticket was a single ticket for one so I’ll be all alone – but it’s Beyonce in Glasgow so who freaking cares?
