Typically, when I travel I pack my dungarees and a number of long sleeved, high neck tops. The dungarees have the secure pouch on the front and they are ridiculously comfortable and the long sleeved top is perfect for underneath when you are in a colder climate. However for my trip to Amsterdam I decided it was high time I made an effort with at least one outfit since I made a deal about it in my last post.
Spoiler, I forgot to change into my effort-making outfit when we then went out for dinner and stayed in the outfit I had been wearing since 5am that day. However, I am pretty obsessed with the outfit, swapping out my go to black top or skirt for something brighter with that good auld Scottish flare to it all the way over in Amsterdam.
We actually booked this trip two weeks ago as a bit of a last minuter after being back in the office for a few hours. So I sort of threw this together on a whim. This jacket (similar) is my go to at the moment, it was a wee gift from Next but they didn’t pay me to tell you that it is incredible, I just bloody love it. I have pretty much worn just this since mid-December and I have no plans to change that.
The skirt is cute and I love the colour but it sometimes sits funny. I have found a few similar ones here and here if you are looking to get your tartan fix that are a wee bit better than this – to be fair it was a fiver. My granny loves it just FYI. Said I looked right bonnie in my wee kilt when I last saw her.
I am going to do a featured travel piece on Amsterdam and of course there will be a video (I also said this about Coll but I swear there will be). But until then, I am going to have a wee search for another holiday. I have seen some bargs with Holiday Gems* for a wee trip to Spain and I am very much in the mood for a bit of sunshine now.
For now though, I am going to go around with my hand in the air pretending to be Ru Paul from here on out – who else is ridiculously excited about All Stars this week?
This is a sponsored post, but all opinions my own obvs.
