This week it may come as no surprise, seen as I haven’t posted at all, I have had really awful writers block. I have had so many ideas for videos but every time I think about how I could write a post, I’ll lost it.


I don’t know if anyone else every suffers with writers block but it drives me mad. There are so many issues, things and thoughts being shared on the internet from the major issue of rising gun crime in the US to the trivial issues of me dealing with my anxiety and chesty cough.

I have wanted to write about my trip to Croatia so badly, but I honestly don’t know where to start. So if anybody else has a travel post please send me the links – I need inspiration. I have also wanted to talk about the fact that there are so many major issues going on in the world while still doing OOTD posts, which just didn’t seem right to me.

So here are some of the things I have been doing over the past week to try and deal with my writers block.

  1. READ
    It sounds very self-explanatory, but just sitting down with a cuppa and reading other blogs will really help. However when I say this, I don’t mean, read other blogs and copy their work. That is called plagiarism, is illegal and is not going to get you any readers or fans.
    Seriously, if you just keep staring at your laptop like I have all of today you are not going to get anywhere. Trust me. I have spent hours staring at my laptop and still there are no posts.
    There are probably 7869402 studies out there that say you need to sleep more. To be honest, sometime all you need it so have a good kip or a few nights of sleep and then you should have a clearer head.
    Any idea, anywhere you are, at any time, write down your ideas at all times. I have a book in my handbag, one by my bed, one in the bathroom and a bookshelf filled with notebooks so that at any time I feel inspired I have something written down. That means when I am in this situation, I might be able to write a post.
    Don’t have a bloody broken camera. This has stopped me doing any simple OOTD posts or even just an easy post. It really infuriates me though, I just want to get things out and take photos BUT MY CAMERA IS BROKEN. UGH.
  6. GET OUT
    Walk, walk and walk. But don’t forget a notebook. You need a notebook in case you are hit with inspiration when you’re out.

I have done so many things to try and clear my head and get rid of my writers block, but all I could think of was this. I am sorry if it hasn’t really helped you that much but if it has let me know.
